Tammy Slaton, of 1,000-lb Sisters fame, is engaged to girlfriend Andrea Dalton, after their love story was documented on the TLC show.
Slaton and Dalton shared the exciting news on TLC’s Instagram in a sweet video, in which they revealed exactly how the moment went down.
Slaton, who has lost around 500lbs since the show started in 2020, said she “loves” the ring. Dalton said: “She likes all those colours so I was like, yeah this is perfect.”
Dalton, who started dating Slaton during season seven of 1,000-lb Sisters, explained: “The moment was great. It was for me. But I couldn’t get down on one knee all the way, but hey, she liked it.”
Slaton, who had previously hinted they’d got engaged, added: “The moment for me was amazing. I’m not upset or mad or anything that you couldn’t get on one knee. It was still very meaningful for me. You took me horseback riding and all the things I like. It was perfect.”
The pansexual reality star went on: “Every day is a new adventure with her, so I’m just looking forward to tomorrow and the next day. And living life with her and Kamala, our cat.”
Dalton added: “Same as me, making fun memories, good times. All three of us together, we’re a little family.”
Many fans were excited for the pair in the comments. One said: “My girl Tammy! I’m ready for the new season.” Another said: “Love the ring Tammy!” And a third wrote: “Congratulations Tammy! So proud of your journey. You deserve all the happiness.”
When did Tammy and Andrea get engaged?
Tammy Slaton first referred to Andrea Dalton as her fiancée in June 2025, while on the Creative Chaos podcast.
It’s not clear whether the couple was actually engaged then, if the exciting moment has just happened, or if TLC shared the video to promote the upcoming season, which starts in September.
Speaking of their relationship, Slaton said: “Me and my fiancée, we just kind of chill at home.
“We go to Walmart and just walk around or Roses, somewhere like that, not to buy just to walk around, get some exercise, something to do.”
Slaton also confirmed she and Dalton had been together “almost three years” at the time.
