British Vogue’s new editor just hired Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell as editors

British Vogue’s new editor who happens to be gay has hired supermodel friends Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell as editors.
Edward Enninful took over from Alexandra Schulman, who announced earlier this year that she would step down from the role after 25 years.
The new editor takes over on 1 August.
Preparing for his role, he hired the supermodels Moss and Campbell as Contributing Editors.
He has also taken on British Vogue alumni Grace Coddington and Oscar-winning director Steve McQueen as contributors.
“I am thrilled that Kate, Naomi, Steve and Grace are going to work with us in these new roles,” said Enninful this morning.
“As two of the biggest international style influencers and supermodels, the impact Naomi and Kate have in today’s culture is enormous. Being an acclaimed filmmaker and Turner Prize-winning artist, Steve will bring an increased depth to the arts within the magazine.”
“Grace’s relationship with Vogue started at a very young age; she has become synonymous with the title and is as much loved in Britain as is she is globally,” added Enninful.
“I am very much looking forward to working with these friends and colleagues on their ideas for upcoming issues,” he said today.
Enninful will take over from Alexandra Schulman, who announced earlier this year that she would step down from the role after 25 years.
The incoming editor has worked for various fashion publications since entering the fashion industry as a teenager.
He worked as fashion director for i-D magazine at age 19 after being scouted as a model when he was just 16.
After more than two decades, Enninful moved to W magazine as the creative and fashion director.
Described as an “influential figure” by Conde Nast’s Chairman and Chief Executive Jonathan Newhouse, Enninful is friends with Michelle Obama and Madonna.
Newhouse added: “By virtue of his talent and experience, Edward is supremely prepared to assume the responsibility of British Vogue.”
The Ghanaian-born model turned stylist will take over from Schulman in August.
He will be the magazine’s 11th editor but has contributed to American Vogue between 1998 and 2011. He contributed to Italian Vogue in 2014.
Enninful was given an OBE in 2016.
Vogue model Hanne Gaby Odiele earlier this year become one of the most high-profile celebrities to come out as intersex.
She has since called for more people to do the same.
The British edition of Vogue magazine in 2016 featured “real women’ on its pages for the first ever time.
