Exclusive: Gay farmer film that’s ‘better than Brokeback Mountain’ reveals brilliant new poster

Yorkshire’s answer to Brokeback Mountain, God’s Own Country, has exclusively given PinkNews its new artwork.
God’s Own Country, a sympathetic love story about two farmers, is one of the warmest and most touching British LGBT+ films of the year.
Francis Lee’s directorial debut constitutes a soft and intimate tale of self-discovery which aims to resonate with both rural and urban audiences.
Set in the harsh fields of a Yorkshire farm, the film follows Johnny Saxby (Josh O’Connor) as he reluctantly carries the future of the family farm on his young shoulders.
At the request of his ageing grandmother and once capable father, the farm hires Romanian migrant Gheorghe (Alec Secareanu) to work at the height of the season.
Sent up to the isolated moors together, Johnny and Gheorghe’s relationship blossoms into something far more beautiful than the superficial sexual encounters Johnny is used to.
