Love Island star removed from the show after gay porn past resurfaces – and fans are furious

Love Island USA star Noah Purvis has been removed from the show after social media users discovered that he was previously a gay porn actor.

Purvis disappeared from the US edition of the popular matchmaking reality television series just days after he first appeared on the show.

Purvis joined CBS’ Love Island USA on 17 September alongside Bennett Sipes and Benni Bivens – but just days later, he was nowhere to be seen.

In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, CBS and ITV America confirmed Purvis had been removed from the show.

“It has been brought to our attention that cast member Noah Purvis provided false information on his application to Love Island, which violates his contestant agreement,” the statement explained.

Since then, his name, biography and photographs have been removed from the official Love Island website.

Twitter users think Noah Purvis was kicked off Love Island USA because of his gay porn past.

Social media is awash with theories about Purvis’ departure, and many think he was booted from the show because of his gay porn history.

Following his debut on Love Island USA, some fans quickly noticed that he bore a striking resemblance to a gay porn star called Ethan, who had filmed scenes for Corbin Fisher.

Many people believe he may have been pushed out of the show after producers learned about his past career.

Numerous social media users accused the show of stigmatising sex work by removing Noah from the line-up.

One Twitter user wrote: “Them completely editing Noah out of the show doesn’t sit well with me. At all.

“Sex work is work, it shouldn’t be stigmatised this much. He didn’t commit any crimes, he didn’t hurt any body, he didn’t hurt himself. Why can’t he be on the show?”

Before Noah exited the show, his bio on the Love Island USA website identified him as a “24-year-old home healthcare provider currently pursuing his credentials in massage therapy”.

“Originally from St Louis, Missouri, Noah sees himself as a true Southern gentleman who knows when to close his mouth and listen to a woman’s needs,” the bio continued.

“Outside of work, he spends his time bodybuilding and making comical videos for his YouTube channel, which has 10,000 subscribers. He is also a brand ambassador for personal training app Fitplan.”

Noah Purvis is yet to comment on his departure.
