New details on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part Two revealed ahead of Intergrade re-release
Final Fantasy Remake Part Two will continue straight after Intergrade, though director Tetsuya Nomura can’t say much.
He was speaking at a Square Enix livestream on 7 May to present information on the PlayStation 5 (PS5) re-release of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, known as Intergrade.
His comments were translated by Audrey on Twitter.
Here's my translation of Nomura's full comment about FF7R Part 2, taken from the FF7 The First Soldier #0 Stream

“Part 2’s story will start right after the events of Intergrade, so we hope you enjoy Intergrade too,” he said.
Presumably, the events mentioned include the INTERmission DLC included as part of the re-release, starring fan favourite character Yuffie.
Nomura wasn’t able to say too much about the new game at the livestream event due to internal politics that made things “too complicated”.
However, he did say that “the game’s development is going smoothly” and dropped some hints as to what to expect.
“We will make announcements when the time is right, but for now what I can reveal is Cloud will be running around a lot of nature. The atmosphere will be quite different from Part 1, so I think people will really enjoy it.”
The “nature” comment alludes to Cloud and co being let loose in a wider, perhaps open, world after Part 1 took place entirely in the city of Midgar.
The livestream also included a new trailer for the game, that showed off its spectacular battles as well as some new gameplay of Yuffie and Sonon in action, a boss battle against Shinra villain Scarlett, and even the series regular summon Ramuh.
The game will also include the Fort Condor minigame in a fresh take from the original.

However, it’s also been reported that the INTERmission DLC will only be available via a download code. If you buy the full physical version of Intergrade on disc, it will come with a code to download the DLC digitally.
It means that not all the game’s content is on the disc, so you’ll be needing some extra space on your PlayStation 5 hard drive.
The main reason for this is because the DLC will be sold separately for those who already own the game on PS4 and can upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free.
If in future you buy Intergrade second hand, though, it’s likely the DLC code will have already been used.
