Drag Race All Stars 6 just crowned a winner, baby

The winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season six was crowned in a truly heart-stopping finale, and fans are absolutely gagged.

The sixth season of All Stars saw some of Drag Race‘s biggest icons returning to the stage once more to try and claim the crown, including Ginger Minj, Trinity K Bonet, Kylie Sonique Love and Silky Nutmeg Ganache.

But there can only be one winner, and RuPaul finally decided who would sashay away for good during the Drag Race All Stars finale.

Warning: this article contains major spoilers for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season six.

The dramatic finale saw Eureka!, Ginger Minj, Ra’Jah O’Hara, and Kylie Sonique Love fight it out to become a part of Drag Race royalty and take home the grand prize of $100,000.

In the end, Kylie Sonique Love was crowned the winner, making herstory as the first ever trans woman to win a US season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Kylie was crowned the winner after performing a verse from RuPaul and Tanya Tucker’s song “This Is Our Country” alongside the other finalists.

Afterwards, she sat down for a heartfelt interview with RuPaul herself – as has become Drag Race tradition – before she was announced as the winner.

Fans were overjoyed that trans icon Kylie Sonique Love was crowned the Drag Race All Stars winner

Fans of the hugely-popular series rushed to Twitter to share their joy at seeing a trans drag queen with all of the charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent in the world claim victory.

Kylie Sonique Love first rose to prominence on the second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race – but she didn’t exactly have a stellar time on the show the first time around.

In fact, she was kicked out of the contest in ninth place after she tried to take on Lady Gaga in Snatch Game, where contestants do celebrity impressions.

Impersonating Lady Gaga is, of course, famously challenging – and Kylie found herself in the bottom two with Morgan McMichaels. After lip-syncing to “2 of Hearts” by Stacey Q, Kylie was told to sashay away.

It wasn’t until the cast got back together for the reunion episode that she revealed she was trans.

Her incredible All Stars victory means that she has now entered the hallowed halls of Drag Race royalty, where she joins some of the most esteemed names in drag.
