Woman 'reports' gay person to LGBTQ+ helpline like 'gay animal control' in viral TikTok

A worker at an LGBTQ+ support centre in Utah, US, has shared the “crazy” call he received from a woman who wanted to report her queer neighbour like “gay animal control”.

In a hilarious viral video posted to TikTok, Jackson Carter, who works at Utah Pride Centre, said he got a call from a woman who wanted “help” with a gay person that was “bothering” her.

“I’m having problems with a… gay person that I’ve known for a while, and he is bothering me,” the woman said in the voicemail.

“I would like to report him to you. I know that you could help me so that he will not bother me any longer.”

Carter joked the woman called the resource centre “like we were gay animal control” to take care of “the bothersome homosexual from her neighbourhood”.

He added that the ominous pause before the woman said “gay person” could indicate she was ready to “almost drop a slur”.

Carter then provided some incredible information about his work after a commenter misheard him saying “queer resource centre” as “queer race horse centre”.

In a separate video, he explained his job is to signpost resources such as support groups, of which there are several in the area including HIV positive groups and “silver pride” LGBTQ+ senior support groups.

He even managed to track down the Utah Gay Rodeo Association, for those who actually are after a “queer race horse centre”.

Following up on the woman’s story, Carter said the caller then sent a second voicemail, in which she claimed her neighbour was harassing her with “energy machines in his house that shoot electrical pulses through his window into her window to harm her”.

She said in her voicemail the gay man across the street is “evil”, “wicked” and “Satanic”.

The woman even passed Carter contact details for her neighbour’s pastor – known as “Pastor Jimmy”.

Carter added that as the woman’s “laser” voicemail had seemed strange, he asked Jimmy to conduct a wellness check on her to see if she was OK, but that he never responded.

“Pastor Jimmy, that is not very ‘man of the cloth’ of you!” Carter ended by saying.

He added in the caption: “Watch out for those gay lasers.”
