Elvira star Cassandra Peterson reacts to Kylie Jenner’s Halloween tribute

Cassandra Peterson, better known as Elvira, The Mistress of the Dark, has given Kylie Jenner her fang-marks of approval.
Make-up mogul and billionaire Kylie Jenner chose to dress as the horror icon for Halloween, recreating the poster for her television movie Elvira’s Movie Macabre.
Jenner donned Elvira’s signature heaven-bump hairstyle and black dress complete with a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit.
A Twitter user shared images of the poster and Jenner’s photoshoot side-by-side, writing: “Not Kylie Jenner doing the @TheRealElvira poster I have framed in my living room … so good!”
Cassandra Peterson, who rose to fame in the 80s with her Elvira alter-ego, spotted the tweet and gave her verdict.
“Always a good costume choice!” she wrote, accompanied by a pumpkin emoji.

Kylie Jenner recreated a second Elvira look as part of her Halloween photoshoot.
Posting to her 371 million Instagram followers, Jenner donned a tasselled bra and posed in front of a spiderweb, captioning the shot “Kyvira”.
Fans have gagged under both photos with big sister Khloe Kardashian writing: “This body. Your soul! Your glamour puss.”
“The way my wig flew across the room,” a fan wrote.
Another added ‘mommy sorry mommy sorry mommy sorry’, after the viral TikTok sound.

Before this, Jenner served us another Halloween look, this time as the Bride of Frankenstein, based on the character from the 1935 horror flick.
Kylie can be seen mummified from the waist up in separate versions of the post – gotta keep it sexy – and the look is complete with beehive hair and signature white streaks.

Other celebrities have donned some iconic costumes for this year’s festivities, including Joey Jay as Vecna (Vecnussy) and Lizzo as Marge Simpson.
Peterson came out as queer in September 2021, revealing that she’s been in a relationship with a woman for two decades.
Writing in her memoir Yours Cruelly, Elvira, Peterson said she met Teresa ‘T’ Wierson at a gym, while she was married to husband Mark Pierson.
The two became friends, and as both came out of long-term relationships, Wierson came to live With Peterson.
“Evenings were spent with all of us laughing, cooking, singing and dancing around the kitchen while she helped me prep dinner,” Peterson wrote.
One night, the two ended up kissing.
“I think I was even more surprised,” Peterson said.
“What the hell was I doing? I’d never been interested in women as anything other than friends. I felt so confused. This just wasn’t me! I was stunned that I’d been friends with her for so many years and never noticed our chemistry. I soon discovered that we connected sexually in a way I’d never experienced.”
