Everyone’s favourite lesbian is now married! Kristen Stewart tied the knot with now-wife Dylan Meyer over Easter – but what do we really know about her?
Meyer is a screenwriter, director, and producer who – like Stewart – moves through the world with unapologetic queer visibility.
The pair first met on a film set in 2013, but didn’t reconnect until a friend’s birthday years later. The rest, as they say, is sapphic history.
They made their relationship public in 2019, and Meyer marked their anniversary with an Instagram post declaring her love for her “favorite Shrimp.” Since then, she and Stewart have become one of queer Hollywood’s most endearing power couples.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Stewart described why Meyer is the love of her life: “I found the right person because I can be so obsessive about what I do. And luckily my girlfriend, my partner, we are into the same s**t.”
“We have taken the things that we’re spending our time on and interlocked them, and we’re so much f*ing smarter and stronger together. And you’re just like, ‘Fk, that is the best.’
Stewart announced their engagement on The Howard Stern Show in November 2021, saying: “We’re marrying. I wanted to be proposed to, so I very distinctly carved out what I wanted, and she nailed it. It’s happening.”
They were married in an intimate ceremony in April 2025, surrounded by friends and free of tabloid fanfare. But, Meyer is so much more than just Stewart’s wife.

She previously co-wrote the Netflix film XOXO and lent her voice to Moxie, Amy Poehler’s riot grrrl-tinged coming-of-age film that centred teenage girls taking up space and making noise.
Meyer also wrote for the sci-fi series Miss 2059, proving early on that her storytelling refuses to be boxed in by genre or expectation.
In 2024, Meyer co-founded Nevermind Pictures alongside Stewart and producer Maggie McLean – a production company that prioritises queer stories and underrepresented voices. Their first major project is The Chronology of Water, Stewart’s directorial debut based on Lidia Yuknavitch’s genre-bending memoir.
Meyer is also stepping behind the camera herself, directing The Wrong Girls, a stoner comedy starring Stewart, Seth Rogen, and LaKeith Stanfield, which she’s described as her “passion project.”
Both Meyer and Stewart have been candid about queerness, love, and existing in an industry that still struggles to make space for people like them.
