Miley Cyrus is stepping back into “The Best of Both Worlds”. The pop icon has hinted that she’s planning something “really special” ahead of Hannah Montana’s 20th anniversary.
The Disney Channel icon made her start almost two decades ago on the sitcom as the titular teenager living a double life as a famous singer.
Although Cyrus has reinvented her image and sound multiple times since leaving the Hannah Montana series in 2011 (real ones will know that Can’t Be Tamed walked so Bangerz could run), she’s long credited her Disney Channel roots as the start of it all.
With 2026 marking 20 years since the launch of the series and, let’s face it, the “golden era” of Disney Channel (hello, That’s So Raven, Wizards of Waverly Place and High School Musical), Cyrus has hinted at honouring the anniversary.

Has Miley Cyrus confirmed a Hannah Montana tour?
Miley Cyrus hasn’t quite confirmed a Hannah Montana tour, but she has hinted that something “really special” is on the way.
“Trust me, I want to design something really, really special for it because it really was the beginning of all of this,” she told Sirius XM last week. “Without Hannah, there wouldn’t really be this me.”
Although the “Walk of Fame” singer admitted that she was initially worried that her start as the character “was going to be impossible to shed”, her time as the bleach-blonde popstar is now “looked at as this sense of kind of, like, nostalgia or something that you have from your childhood”.
“I’ve now been integrated into everyone’s life as the character itself. So, that’s exciting to get to celebrate that.”

Don’t dig out your Hannah Montana merch from your attic just yet. A recent interview with Good Morning America saw the star, who recently released her ninth studio album Something Beautiful, shutting down tour rumours.
“I do have the physical ability, and I have the opportunities to tour,” she said. “I wish I had the desire, but I don’t. I also don’t think that there’s actually an infrastructure that supports artists.
“It’s really hard to maintain sobriety when you’re on the road, which is a really important pillar of stability in my life. It’s really hard to keep mental wellness [on tour].”
