Trailblazing trans model Alex Consani has shared behind-the-scenes tea from her latest Victoria’s Secret shoot.

Alex Consani made history as one of the first out trans models to walk the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and win the 2024 Model of the Year gong

She has now shared behind-the-scenes glimpses of her recent Victoria’s Secret campaign on Instagram after being announced as an Angel for this year’s fashion show.

Alongside the signature angel wings, Consani iconically posted an image of a tuck kit from Unclockable – a trans-led brand.

Consani captioned the series of images: “Cant stop smiling! So happy to have the opportunity to shoot with the baddest group of girls and the best team there is! I’m so so so grateful!”

The model’s appearance in the shoot and upcoming show follows her trailblazing debut on the Victoria’s Secret runway in 2024.

In an interview with Them, she previously emphasised that authentic representation mean reflecting all facets of the trans community – not limited by race, body type, or ability – by declaring that “the future is dolls” and calling for fashion that celebrated every expression of identity.

She also told the publication that she no longer feels “embarrassed” about her identity, and now feels “powerful and strong” as a trans woman.

Consani has previously opened up about dating as a trans person in the public eye.  She said: “It’s important, especially as a trans adult, to find yourself and find what you like. I’m still coming into that and definitely have been more active. I don’t think that’s because of my success.”

Referring to the likes of pop stars Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears, she went on to say: “If anything, it might be a little bit more difficult because you never know people’s intentions. There are so many different reasons that people could be knocking down your door, especially being in a minority community that’s often fetishised. Being public and trans has brought more of that kind of attention but, yeah, I’ve been having my fun.”
