Blue star Duncan James confirms romance with burlesque dancer Alex Roque

Blue star Duncan James has confirmed that he is dating actor and burlesque dancer Alex Roque.
James, 47, had been romantically linked with Roque after breaking up with Rodrigo Reis earlier this year.
The pop star confirmed the relationship during an appearance at the Children with Cancer UK Gala at London’s The Peninsula in London on Saturday (8 November) while speaking to The Daily Mail.
James called Roque “really considerate, respectful and kind.” He also shared: “He is a very handsome boy. It’s new and it’s exciting. He’s a real sweetheart. He’s a bit of a love bug, which is sweet. And he’s showering me lots of love.”
He added: “And he’s like a big, gentle giant,” repeating “he’s really kind, really considerate.”
Roque has also been approved by James’ family and friends, as well as his Blue bandmates – Simon Webbe, Antony Costa, and Lee Ryan.
“The boys met him first. Because he came to a gig and met the boys and they all like him as well. I’ve got their seal of approval,” James shared.
As for Reis, James told The Daily Mail that the relationship came to “a natural end,” and “we’re still friends.”
Having done Britain’s Got Talent and other similar reality series Roque is currently starring in the male revue show, Forbidden Nights which is touring the UK into 2026.
He also has a role in the upcoming LGBTQ+ drama series, Custodians alongside James who is also featuring. According to the series’ website the show is based on Dan Alexander’s novels of the same name.
“Set in the picturesque Cornish Riviera, the show follows Detective Inspector Marco Ramirez (Roque) and his team of ‘Custodians’ as they uncover a secret plot of demonic global domination. Only they can save humanity,” a synopsis reads.
