The 2026 Golden Globes seating chart has been released, and we all want to sit on the cool table with Heated Rivalry‘s stars and Charli XCX.
With awards season in full swing, steamy gay hockey drama Heated Rivalry‘s impact is being felt. Despite not being nominated for a Golden Globe, breakout stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams are at one of the top tables.
Storrie and Williams’ meteoric rise has been matched by a press tour for the ages. Both actors are making their late-night debuts and mingling with A-listers.
On Sunday (11 January), the internet’s boyfriends will be in attendance at one of Hollywood’s most high-profile events, the 2026 Golden Globes.
Sitting in close proximity to the stage, Storrie will sit to the left of Brat icon Charli XCX. Williams will be sitting beside Storrie and next to Hamnet nominees Cabaret’s Jessie Buckley and The History of Sound’s Paul Mescal.
It may just be the coolest table of the 2026 awards season. It’s an intimidating table of stars and yet they’re giving ‘you can sit with us’ energy.
At the Globes, Storrie and Williams will be showcasing their hosting duties as they’re set to present an award together.
‘They could do the funniest thing at the Golden Globes’
As fans pointed out, they have the opportunity to recreate the Heated Rivalry scene in which their characters awkwardly present a hockey award together. Ilya and Shane attempt to keep their professional composure while standing together under bright lights, hiding that they’re sleeping together.
Storrie and Williams shot to fame in the the LGBTQ+ hockey show, which follows two rising ice hockey stars. Closeted Canadian prodigy Shane (Williams) and bisexual Russian star Ilya (Storrie) navigate an almost decade-long illicit romance as their rivalry mounts.
In December 2025, it was confirmed that a second season has been commissioned. With several more books in the Game Changers series, there’s ample material to develop.
The show’s first season will premiere on Sky in the UK and Ireland on 10 January 2026.
At this year’s Globes, Wicked: For Good received a number of nominations in film categories. However, fans were shocked that it was snubbed from the best musical category.
Cynthia Erivo has made Globes history as the first Black woman to earn two nominations in the lead actress (comedy or musical) category. However, it’s since been announced she will not be attending the ceremony due to scheduling issues.
Ariana Grande is up for Best Supporting Actress for her performance opposite Erivo as Glinda the Good.
In TV categories, The White Lotus dominated with The Bear following closely.
