Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie both land big new roles – here’s what we know

The lead stars of Heated Rivalry are on track to become the lead stars of many other Hollywood projects it seems, as Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams have both just signed up for their next major roles.

Thanks to their hot and horny roles as Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander in the viral queer ice hockey drama Heated Rivalry, Storrie and Williams’ careers have gone stratospheric.

They’ve been official torchbearers for the 2026 Winter Olympics, have handed out awards at the Golden Globes, and are plastered across pretty much every magazine cover going. Of course, too, both stars have signed on to star in Heated Rivalry season two, which is set to commence filming this summer and is eyeing a spring 2027 release. This train shows no signs of coming to a halt.

This week alone, both Storrie and Williams have reportedly signed on to the next major screen projects away from the locker rooms of Heated Rivalry. So, as we watch their stars ascend even higher, he’s everything we know about their next big roles.

According to multiple reports, Connor Storrie is set to board one of A24’s next major projects: Peaked, from Theater Camp and Shiva Baby writer, Molly Gordon.

Little is known about the plot of Peaked so far, other than it’s a comedy which “follows the two girls who traumatised you in high school as they try to relive their glory days at their 10-year reunion,” according to a synopsis.

What we do know is who Storrie would be starring alongside. Hollywood hitters including Sex Education star Emma Mackey, Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley, Palm Royale’s Laura Dern, Saturday Night Live’s Allie Levitan, and Molly Gordon herself will all star. Gabby Windey, the queer fan-favourite star of The Traitors and The Bachelor, is also set to appear.

According to Deadline, Peaked is set to start filming later this month. Connor Storrie’s role is being kept quiet for now.

A24 is the movie production company behind some of the biggest blockbusters of recent years, including Marty Supreme, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Moonlight, Past Lives and The Brutalist.

Hudson Williams set to star in Crave drama Yaga

While Connor Storrie might be leaning into comedy for his next role, Hudson Williams is sticking with drama. He’s reuniting with Canadian streaming platform Crave, the original home of Heated Rivalry, on new drama series Yaga.

Based on the play of the same name by Canadian playwright Kat Sandler, Yaga focusses on Baba Yaga, a mythic creature deriving from Slavic folklore who is frequently depicted as a female witch.

Williams will star alongside Schitt’s Creek actor Noah Reid, The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss, and The Changeling’s Clark Backo. Williams will play Henry Park in the upcoming drama, a “young heir to a powerful fishery” who goes missing. Reid will play Rapp, a private investigator investigating his disappearance, who butts heads with Carson (Backo), a local detective.

“Rapp arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the disappearance of a young heir to a powerful fishery, Henry Park (Williams),” reads an official synopsis.

“He finds himself at odds with an apprehensive local detective, Carson (Backo), a charismatic university professor with a taste for younger men, Katherine (Moss), and a labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives and ancient magic.”

Yaga isn’t the only new show Williams is working on; he’s starring in The Altruists, a new Netflix drama series about the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange company FTX. He’ll star alongside Weapons actress Julia Garner, House of Guinness actor Anthony Boyle, and comedian Matt Rife.

In a recent GQ interview, Williams spoke about the types of projects he’s keen to sign on for in the wake of Heated Rivalry’s success.

“It starts with the script, and comes down to the director/creator,” he told the publication.

“No actor can turn s*** writing into something great. And at the end of the day, a subpar director can butcher a good performance – and even a good script if they’re really bad – by fumbling the movie at so many points along the way.”

Heated Rivalry is streaming now on Crave, HBO and NOW.
