Wednesday (14 January) was a big night for fans of The Traitors. Not only did Harriet bring her time in the castle to an end kamikaze-style, but eagle eyed viewers spotted something that could point to another twist still to come…
The last episode of The Traitors was far from free of drama. As well as Harriet’s big move against Rachel the Traitor, there was drama over who claimed a shield during the task (you should have been honest, James!) and the dramatic breakfast and roundtables and all the tensions that came off of both.
But viewers of The Traitors‘ companion show, Uncloaked, have also found evidence of something which could yield interesting results.
In the segment showing Harriet finding out who the Traitors are the former barrister turned crime writer picked up the usual folded up parchment.
She then discovered that it’s Stephen, who she’s surprised at but not upset by, and Rachel, voting a triumphant laugh.
What’s drawn the attention of fans though is the presence of a second piece of parchment. The same thing clearly appeared when other people who have been murdered and banished met.
“What is this second envelope which keeps appearing on #TheTraitors uncloaked?! Is there ANOTHER secret or twist in the series…?” one person put on X/Twitter.
Responding, someone theorised: “Possibly family tree connections??” to which the original user replied: “Ooh good shout!”
That relates to another theory about this series of The Traitors that everyone is somehow connected to another contestant. Judy and Roxy who are mother and daughter and Ross and Ellie who are dating are the only confirmed pairs.
“Surely that’s not going to be just ‘Roxy and Judy are Mum and daughter’ and ‘Ross and Ellie are dating’,” put someone else.
“WHAT’S IN THE SECOND SEALED LETTER ????” asked someone else on X/Twitter. Another user wrote: “Noticed it with Hugo as well another twist/connection must surely be looming.”
The Traitors continues on BBC One and the BBC iPlayer at 8pm on Thursday 15 January.
