Meredith Marks, star of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City turned international DJ, has hinted at a collaboration with her co-star Lisa Barlow.
Marks is in London for her DJ set at Mighty Hoopla festival on Sunday, May 31. And while she kept the details of her set under wraps, she tells PinkNews that Housewives fans could be set for a duet with Barlow in the future.
She says: “Lisa and I, we see a lot of things through a similar lens, and sometimes that manifests in music.”
Speaking of her festival performance, Marks says: “I’m super excited, I can’t wait. It’s going to be so much fun.”
She joins the likes of Countess Luann and Erika Jayne who have previously performed at the festival, but Marks hasn’t gone to them for advice.
“I kind of go to my own beat, I do my own thing,” she says. “I know it’s going to be crazy, it’s going to be fun, it’s going to be fabulous.”
She says: “I do incorporate some little elements from the show into the set, so that’s definitely a lot of fun. But my DJ set is not just a typical DJ set, it’s kind of a show in and of itself, so you’ll see it has its own flair and drama.”
Another Housewife stepping out into the music world is Marks’ friend Amanda Caroline Cronin, who shot to viral fame in the debut season of The Real Housewives of London, thanks to her “Back to Paddington!” catch phrase. She has since turned it into a full blown song.
“I’m seeing her tonight for dinner,” Marks tells us, suggesting the topic of music will probably come up. “I have been on autopilot, so we’ve only text and I haven’t really had a chance to speak with her over the last couple of months.
“So tonight we’re having a sit down, and I’m sure we’ll have all those discussions.”
And it seems music runs in the Marks family, as Meredith’s daughter Chloe recently released her debut single, “Aura”.
Marks also has another child in the spotlight, her son Brooks who stars on Next Gen NYC which will debut its second season in a matter of weeks.
“It’s so nice that they have a chance to really show more of who they are,” Marks tells us, “because Housewives is obviously about is and not the kids. They’re a little piece of the puzzle, but you only see moments, and I feel like the audience doesn’t really get to know the kids.
“For them to have a chance to show who they really are, I think is amazing.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is available to stream on Hayu. Catch Meredith’s set at 4.45pm at the Hayu Arena on Sunday, 31 May.
