Gogglebox’s Lee celebrates 32nd anniversary with partner Steve in sweet throwback pic

Gogglebox favourite Lee Riley has shared a sweet set of photos to celebrate his 32nd anniversary with his long-term partner Steve.
The Channel 4 telly watcher, who has appeared on the show since 2014 with best friend Jenny Newby, shared two photos of him and Steve together on Instagram – one throwback, and one more recent.
The smiling chaps looked handsome in both, though they each looked a bit more salt-and-pepper in the recent snap.
Riley wrote in the caption: “Happy anniversary to us 32 years and before you ask Steve gets the medal.”
Fans and co-stars were quick to comment. Gay Gogglebox couple Alfie Mulhall and Andrew Nicolls, who also recently celebrated their anniversary, both shared their congratulations.
Izzi Warner commented: “Congratulations both of you! Literally my whole lifetime.” Her sister Ellie said: “Happy anniversary.”
Lisa Baggs, who was on the show with her family, including gay son Joe, between 2020 and 2022, said: “Happy anniversary to you both.”
While Riley films in Hull in Newby’s caravan, he actually lives in Cyprus with Steve when the show isn’t on.
Newby and her husband Ray pop over to visit the couple from time to time too, with them sharing smiling group photos on Instagram in July 2025.
Steve occasionally makes appearances on Gogglebox on the phone to Riley. A March 2026 episode saw the duo talking about the mundane parts of a relationship – washing.
Showing the close bond between the two couples, Newby then grabbed the phone from Riley to have a chat with Steve.
