Elon Musk‘s ex Ashley St Clair claims he told her he wanted to have a child with her as he needed “a legion of children before the civil war”.
The former MAGA influencer shares one son with the X boss, though it’s believed he has at least 13 other children with various women, including three with singer Grimes.
St Clair, who has slammed Musk for speaking against his trans daughter Vivian Wilson, appears in Musk, a new documentary from Alex Gibney. It got its premiere at Venice Film Festival.
According to The Guardian, in the doc, St Clair shares Musk’s desire to have “a legion of children before the civil war”.
When asked if the billionaire businessman was scared of a civil war or trying to stoke one, she said: “Whatever it is, what he’s doing with this platform on X cannot be ignored, because he is stoking flames that don’t exist in the real world.”
She continued: “He is creating something that is causing real world effects with all of these inputs on X. I do believe that he is causing deliberate division that may be catastrophic if it’s not regulated or tamed, or if we don’t do our part in putting it down.”

Musk regularly uses his profile on X, on which he has 241.6million followers, to share his views on politics around the world. This week, he celebrated Germany’s far-right AfD party winning in Saxony-Anhalt. He has also stuck himself into conversations around race and immigration in the UK.
Documentary maker Alex Gibney said Musk’s childhood was “very difficult and traumatic”.
Gibney went on: “To some extent he’s now playing out that trauma on the rest of us, if I were to psychoanalyse the situation.”
The documentary is four hours long and was filmed over three years. It is scheduled to be released in US cinemas on 16 October.
