New scientific theory suggests anti-gay teaching could be very wrong

A new scientific paper has pushed the theory that the anus actually began as a sexual organ – a heartbreaking revelation for those that preach sodomy is sinful, and deserving of eternal damnation.

The theory was explored in a 2025 unpublished and un-peer reviewed study from the University of Bergen in Norway. Essentially, it looked at how the anus evolved from a male gonopore, which is an external opening in male invertebrates that ejects sperm.

Now, that theory has been pushed in a new study, which gives more legs to previous findings.

The 2025 study looked at how a tiny organism called a xenocoelomorph used its mouth opening as the hole to expel waste, too. Males in the species had another hole to transport sperm – the gonopore, or gonadopore.

Those tiny organisms did not have a “through-gut”, that creatures, including humans, have to take in food and then get rid of it at the other end. Humans share this system with organisms including sea urchins, flies and worms, which, the new study argues, suggests “that an inner digestive tube was already established in their last common ancestor”.

However, the same “through-gut” system has been found in other organisms which do not share similar ancestors, those which had one hole to take in and get rid of food, and another for sperm.

The 2025 study argued that, originally, the rear end was actually a sexual organ – and for some people, it never stopped being that.

So make of that what you will.
