Gay orgy planner jailed
A Chinese salesman has been jailed for a year after organising gay orgies over the internet.
The unidentified 33-year-old, known only as Zou, started the website in 2005, promoting sex parties in Beijing, China, at between £2 or £3 per person, he was charged for promoting promiscuity.
He also provided pornographic services on the site.
“Thanks to reporting from the masses, Zou was caught on the spot last November and this ‘licentious nest’ was cracked,” the official Xinhua news agency said.
Zou had told police after being arrested in November 2005, “Since the ad was published in April 2005, more and more people joined the parties. I was mainly in charge of getting people together, and providing a venue and music.
The judge said: “Although people today are gradually becoming more free to follow their sexual preferences, that doesn’t mean the law will indulge them. People should choose healthy and proper life styles.”
