Kylie hosts New Year Party
Gay icon Kylie Minogue is giving British fans their first chance to see her Showgirl Homecoming Tour, in a New Year’s Eve show at Wembley Arena.
On December 31st Kylie will host her spectacular New Year revelry with a show that combines music spanning her entire career with a sensory overload of cutting edge visuals and costumes.
She said: “New Year’s Eve will be a lot of fun, a great way to kick off the London and Manchester dates. I’m looking forward to sharing the count-down with you all!
“Glam up and I’ll see you there!”
The show starts at 8pm and continues until midnight, giving fans the opportunity to see in the new year with Kylie.
Bjorn Again will feature as special guests.
Fans can dance their way into 2007 with a specially created 3,500 capacity dance floor. After the show, the bars and catering at Wembley will be open until 1am.
Kylie relaunched her Australian Showgirl tour in November after recovering from breast cancer surgery.
Transport for London have announced that the Tube, DLR and tram services will run all night on New Year’s Eve, as well as night buses and 24-hour bus routes as usual.
Passengers throughout London will be able to travel for free on these services on New Year’s Eve after the show until 4.30am.
In addition, there will be free travel on selected National Rail services between midnight and 5am, particularly in areas with fewer Tube connections.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow.
