Teacher resigns over porn appearances
Most schoolteachers have to take part-time and summer jobs to help supplement their income, but this week a Texas teacher’s moonlighting may have cost him his job.
The school board is investigating into allegations that one of their faculty members has appeared in over 50 sexually explicit, gay wrestling videos.
The tip off came from an email sent to the board and local television stations that apparently accused a teacher at Sugar Land Clements High School in Ft. Bend of starring in the sexually explicit, gay-themed videos for sale on an a wrestling web site.
The teacher, who vehemently denied the allegations, has not been named because although he looks similar to the video star, there is no confirmation that he is in fact the performer.
The school board, however, did not take any chances and told the Houston Chronicle the teacher had been put on administrative leave until further investigation had been conducted.
Jason Whitely of Fox 11 News, who uncovered the story, stated that although the images may not be ethically appropriate for a high school teacher the pictures and videos “do not appear to be illegal and we did not find anything in department policy that specifically forbids the teacher’s actions.”
According to the most recent news updates, the website has taken down the images and videos of the performer, and the teacher has resigned from his position.
