‘Art School Stole My Virginity’ takes place, and it’s not what you expected
A hyped performance by an art student in which he claimed he would lose his anal virginity in front of a live audience has taken place… and did not actually involve any sex.
19-year-old Clayton Pettet had claimed last year that he would have live sex onstage during ‘Art School Stole My Virginity’, and despite huge media attention, it was finally staged at Marylebone Gardens in London on Wednesday.
In front of a hundred-strong crowd, Pettet emerged with ‘NSFW’ and ‘ TEEN WHORE’ scrawled on his body, while topless people marched out holding signs that said ‘Anal virgin’, and ‘Live f**k butt virgin sex show’.
Clips of various talk show hosts deriding Pettet’s planned performance were played to the crowd, Â while chunks of his hair were cut out, and his mouth was smeared with black paint.
He then invited some of the audience into another room, to ‘penetrate’ him by putting bananas in his mouth.
Afterwards, he wrote on his Tumblr: “Defining my Virginity, defining my penetration, we live in civilisation of other peoples definitions.
“My sexuality isn’t yours. It is mine. Understand that this is an art piece.”
Pettet confirmed to Dazed Digital he was never planning to actually have sex in the show, saying: “It was always about me stealing the word ‘virginity’, rather than having it stolen from me.
“I’ve always said I didn’t believe in virginity, so it kind of defeats the point if I’d actually lost my virginity for my art show!”
“I think if people were expecting something else, it shows what they really wanted. They didn’t want an art piece, they wanted to see me have sex.”
