Christian Concern: Stonewall is an ideological propaganda machine attacking normal families
Christian Concern has attacked LGB rights charity Stonewall, claiming it is an “ideological propaganda machine” attacking families.
The Christian group made the comments after Stonewall’s newly-appointed CEO Ruth Hunt suggested that preschools should teach children about different family structures from a young age.
Andrea Williams of Christian Concern claimed: “Those who want to turn the world on its head have often tried to manipulate the state education system to achieve their ends.
“The ideological propaganda machine of Stonewall continues to gain momentum and the manipulating of the state education system is a key part of their strategy.
“The normal pattern of marriage and family has been under attack for decades now with devastating consequences, especially for children, so news of further attempts are very concerning.
“Children would fare much better if taught more clearly about the normal pattern for raising the next generation.”
The group previously attacked Sir Elton John for claiming that if Jesus were alive, he would support gay rights.
The charity’s spokesperson Andrew Marsh responded: “In terms of Sir Elton’s comments about Jesus, sad to say, these are remarkably ignorant and staggeringly arrogant comments, presuming to dictate to Jesus Christ what he should think when the reality is he has spoken quite clearly on this subject.
“The reality is that Jesus is alive… and when he was asked questions, he went out of his way to underline that marriage is between a man and a woman, as God had intended.”
