Lance Bass marries partner Michael Turchin
Former N Sync singer Lance Bass has tied the knot with partner of four years Michael Turchin.
The pair wed at the Legendary Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles last night, in a star-studded ceremony attended by over 300 guests.
Sopranos actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Reba star Joanna García – both close personal friends of the couple – even officiated the ceremony.
The 35-year-old former ‘N Sync star, who came out in 2006, had previously planned to wed 27-year-old fiancé Michael Turchin next February – but moved the wedding forward to December.
Bass tweeted beforehand: “Today I marry the man of my dreams. He makes me smile; he makes my heart melt; he makes me…me.”
A documentary chronicling their love story and the build-up to the wedding is set to air on E! early next year – thought to be the first time a same-sex celebrity wedding has been broadcast.
Bass told E! Online: “The whole wedding itself is very classy, you know. We wanted to plan something that could last for 100 years. When we show our grandchildren this amazing tape of our wedding, the best wedding video ever, I want them to be able to look at this and be like ‘Wow, that stood the test of time.’
“So we’re using a lot of elements in the wedding that are classy and one of those is definitely our first dance. The song we chose is a song that lasts forever, something that is very special to us.
“I don’t know if it’s because my name is Lance, and I was just obsessed with Sir Lancelot, and that medieval times and royal everything, but I like to have a royal feel, and that’s what it’s going to feel like. Something very grandiose.”
