Mary Earps has announced that she and her partner, Kitty Forrest, have welcomed a baby boy after keeping the pregnancy private.

In an Instagram post, the 33-year-old goalkeeper wrote: “I can’t quite believe I’m writing this, but yesterday Kitty and I welcomed our beautiful baby boy into the world !”

Earps also shared a video message alongside clips documenting the couple’s journey. “I’ve been keeping a little secret from you all and I don’t think I can talk my way out of this one so I better show you,” she said.

In the same post, Earps added: “Baby name to be revealed! Our greatest adventure starts here.”

Earps had not previously disclosed Forrest’s pregnancy before sharing the news. The video montage showed the couple’s journey from pregnancy, through a gender reveal, to the baby’s birth on 5 November.

Earps also wrote about balancing elite sport and parenthood, telling followers she is “already a full-time footballer, and now a full-time mum too”, and that she was looking forward to sharing more as she navigates “life in football, motherhood and everything in between”.
