A cross-dressing man has been violently assaulted in east London after a man jumped out of a car and attacked him.

The victim, who was not identified, suffered a broken nose after the attack, reports the Evening Standard.

He had been waiting in a bus stop, when the man pulled up in his car and asked “How much do you want?”.

After jumping out of the car, he carried out the vicious attack, while his friends repeatedly shouted “kill him” throughout the incident.

Police have now issued an appeal for witnesses over the assault, which happened on 16 May at around 1.30am on Green Street, Forest Gate.

Detective Constable Ben Rouse said: “This was an unprovoked attack. This suspect is clearly willing to use violence against innocent members of the community.”

The attacker was described as an Asian man between the ages of 17 and 20, and around 5’4″ tall. He was wearing a brown jumper, brown trousers and a blue cap.

Those with information are urged to contact police by dialling 101, or calling Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
