US Vice President Joe Biden to give keynote LGBT address
The US Vice President will address LGBT voters as he is set to make a keynote speech at an event held by a leading LGBT rights charity.
Joe Biden will take to the stage at the Human Rights Campaign’s annual gala dinner on 3 October.
He will follow Hillary Clinton, who will speak to the HRC board on the morning of the same day.
The two are set to speak at the HRC as speculation rises over whether Biden will put himself forward for the Democratic Presidential nomination.
“Vice President Biden has stood up for the rights of all Americans to live their lives free from discrimination and fear throughout his remarkable career,” Chad Griffin, Human Rights Campaign president, said in announcing the keynote speaker.
Others speaking at the dinner include actors Ellen Page and Allison Janney, and the first out gay NBA player Jason Collins.
