Hillary Clinton took on the role of Val the bartender last night in a Saturday Night Live sketch.

During the show – which kicked off with Miley Cyrus mocking Kentucky clerk Kim Davis – ‘Hillary Clinton’ (Kate McKinnon) and her aide, ‘Huma Abedin’ (played by Cecily Strong), are grabbing a drink and talking strategy.

In the traditional style of SNL, ‘Hillary’ has a vision of chatting up her bartender Val – who is in fact played by the real Hillary Clinton.

“So, Hillary,” Clinton asks. “What brings you here tonight?”

“Well, I needed to blow off some steam,” McKinnon says.

“I’ve had a hard couple of 22 years.”

Clinton, who yesterday gave a powerful speech on her support of LGBT rights, goes on to to wisecrack about being a whole host of political issues – including same-sex marriage.

“It really is great how long you’ve supported gay marriage,” says the real Hillary.

“Yes, but I could have supported it sooner,” replies McKinnon.

“Well, you did it pretty soon,” argues Clinton.

“Could of been sooner,” McKinnon continues.

“Fair point,” submits Clinton – to laughs from the audience.

However, her shining moment is when she does a scarily accurate Donald Trump impression – and even pokes fun at his ‘hair’.

Clinton closed out her performance with a singalong with McKinnon to the tune of Bill Withers’ “Lean on Me.”
