Sir Elton John doesn’t want his kids to see his crazy old outfits
Sir Elton John has says that he hasnāt shown his two children any of his old flamboyant costumes.
The veteran singer spoke to Ellen DeGeneres this week when he made the admission.
Asked if he shared any of his memorabilia with his sons Zachary (5) and Elijah (3), he said: āThey find it odd what I walk around in anyway, so if we got back in timeā¦ maybe not!ā
Though he doesnāt want his kids to see any of his old outlandish outfits, that didnāt stop Ellen sharing some of her favourites.
Of his relationship with husband David Furnish, Sir Elton said: āWeāve been together ten years and married one. It was our first anniversary in December.
āIt was only legal then ā because we had a civil partnership before, it was hard for me to get married and they had to change the law! But I got married on the anniversary of our civil partnership.
āIf youād said to me ten years ago Iād be sitting on your show married to the man I love with two beautiful children, Iād say youād put acid in my drink.
āLife throws you challenges and life throws you curve-ballsā¦and these two children have come along at a time when I thought Iād never had children.
āThey are the greatest thing alive, thereās no words to describe how much we love these boys. Theyāre just amazing.ā
However, they arenāt that interested in his music or work.
He said: āThey love Hotline Bling, thatās their favourite song, and they love Uptown Funk.
āThey can sing some of my songs too ā Rocket Man, Donāt Go Breaking My Heart and Bennie and the Jets.
āBut theyāre not that keen on what I do ā theyāre more interested in their Lego, which is fine by me.
He added: āIf they wanted to play piano [that would be fine]ā¦ but Iām not going to push them in any direction whatsoever.ā
