Jaden Smith has appeared in a clip from the new Netflix series The Get Down, and enjoys a passionate gay kiss.

Smith, who has been praised for pushing the boundaries of gender in fashion and beyond, appears in the scene set in a secret gay bar.

At first appearing overwhelmed, Smith’s character Marcus Kipling eventually locks lips with character Thor, played by Noah Le Gros.

The Baz Lurhmann-created show is set back in the 1970s and features six teenage artists living in New York City.

The whole scene is set to a new track by Christina Aguilera ‘Telepathy’.

Jaden earlier this year stripped down to nothing but a skirt for Korean Vogue.

The 17-year-old – who was unveiled as the new face of Louis Vuitton womenswear earlier this year – has been praised for continually breaking traditional gender stereotypes.

Last summer, Smith – the son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith – wore a white dress when attending his school prom with actress Amandla Stenberg, who came out as bisexual on Snapchat.

Speaking to Billboard magazine recently, Smith compared himself to Einstein when discussing his style choices.

“Einstein didn’t really like to change clothes because he had too much other stuff to worry about and I’m the same,” he said.

His dad Will Smith earlier this year said he was proud of his “fearless” son for wearing what he wants.
