Kate McKinnon has lost her Emmy, but reckons it’s just gone on an adventure
Kate McKinnon has revealed that she doesn’t know where her Emmy is, but is sure it will come back to her eventually.
Talking to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show the comedian revealed that she doesn’t remember the evening that she won her Emmy, and doesn’t know where the actual award is.
The gay comic won the award for Best Supporting Actress in a comedy series for her work on the hit show, Saturday Night Live.
McKinnon recalled vague memories of walking off stage with the prize but said “someone took it from my hand and now I don’t know where it is.”
“It’s had some kind of adventure, like the Travelocity gnome.”
The comic told Fallon that she blacked out after her name was called, and only came to when she was back at her hotel.
“I have no conscious memory of that night after they called my name. Then I came to many hours later, I was eating spaghetti alone in a hotel room. It’s not the first time it’s happened.”
McKinnon doesn’t remember thanking Hillary Clinton or Ellen Degeneres in her speech, both of which congratulated her on the award.
The star has seen pictures of other people with her award circulating on Facebook, and reckons the Emmy partied harder than she did on the night.
She went on to send a message to her prize, wherever it is. “Have an adventure, come back to me when you feel it’s appropriate.”
“My Emmy could be like Forrest Gump and end up in every historical event in the next 30 years.”
McKinnon recently starred in the Ghostbusters remake as Holtzmann– a flirtatious character the entire LGBT community wanted to be gay.
