Elton John tells fan to ‘f**k off’ and storms off stage during Las Vegas performance

An Elton John concert got a little heated recently as he told a fan who got a bit too close to comfort to “f**k off”.

Sir Elton eventually stormed off the stage during the Las Vegas residency performance.

Fans are usually invited on stage during his performance of Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting and this performance was no exception.

And while most of the group of fans kept their distance and enjoyed the fun, one got a little too close, and kept trying to grab the star while he played the track.

Despite being told to stop by Sir Elton, the fan just kept going until he eventually got told to “f**k off”.

Then it all got a bit much for the Rocket Man who got up and left the stage.

The person who recorded the video, published on TMZ, then exclaims that she thinks the show is over.

The rest of the fans from the stage returned to their seats, but the one who tried to touch the star was removed from the venue.

Returning to the stage, Sir Elton said: “You f**ked it up”.

Since the incident, Sir Elton has issued a statement on social media which reads: “Thursday night in Las Vegas a fan put his hands on the piano keys while I was playing and continued to do so even after I asked him to stop. He then proceeded to reach over the piano and try to take pictures, completely disrupting the performance. I bring fans onstage every evening when we play ‘Saturday Night’ in the set, it is always a lovely part of the show where I get to meet them, shake their hands and have them right there with me while I play. They have always been very courteous to the fact we are in the middle of playing a song live. This guy was rude, disruptive and had no care or respect for our show and so I let him know how I felt, then left the stage until they had removed him.”

Sir Elton shocked the world back in January when he announced that he would stop touring permanently after nearly five decades.

The announcement came weeks after his beloved mother passed away age 93.

The I’m Still Standing singer, who has two sons with husband David Furnish, nearly died last year after contracting a bacterial infection while touring in South America.

The infection was described by experts as “rare” and “potentially deadly”, and months of tour dates were cancelled as he recovered from the condition.

He backed young activists campaigning for LGBT rights in Commonwealth countries this week.
