Gay figure skating power couple Eric Radford and Luis Fenero tied the knot on July 11 in a beautiful Spanish wedding.
Fenero was born in Spain and represented the country as a skater, and so the couple decided to hold their wedding there.
Canadian figure skater Radford, who is a two time world champion and Olympic medallist, also proposed two years ago in northern Spain near the wedding venue.
After the wedding, Radford wrote in a post on Instagram: “Words can never explain just how incredible the last few days have been. An amount of love I could’ve never imagined and a wedding day I could’ve never dreamed. ”
According to OutSports, figure skating Olympians Dylan Moscovitch and Patrick Chan were guests at the wedding and the couple are currently on a celebratory trip to Greece with friends.
When the couple got engaged, Radford wrote in an Instagram post: “I’ve learned that the best things in life have a level of simplicity to them.
“I see it in art, I hear it in music and I feel it with this man. Loving him is simple and beautiful.
“The feeling of freedom and joy I had flying over the mountains is the same feeling I have when I think of life with @luis_febi …and I want to feel that forever so… I asked him to marry me and he said yes!!”
Radford made history by becoming the first openly gay man to win gold at a Winter Olympics in PyeongChang in 2018.
