Donald Trump is ‘going to take us all down with him’ and will try to ‘undermine’ Joe Biden’s presidency, says niece Mary
With Joe Biden edging achingly closer to victory, US President Donald Trump will seek to “undermine” the Democrat’s leadership, niece Mary Trump said in an explosive interview Friday evening (November 5).
Speaking to Channel 4 News, Mary sought to tear into the torrent of cocksure falsehoods the flailing president has flung as his early lead in the election evaporates.
“He’s freaking out,” the 55-year-old psychologist said, adding: “One of the things you have to remember about him – if he thinks he’s going down, he’s going to try to take the rest of us down with him.”
“That’s an attempted coup. The consequences of this cannot be underestimated.”

Mary’s words will no doubt shudder through an America anxiously glued to news tickers and mobile phone screens.
Trump, amid a raft of swing states where his leads have dimmed as absentee ballots are counted, has sounded almost desperate.
Through televised statements and pique tweets, he’s claimed to be the victim of a wide-ranging plot to unseat him through fraudulent votes – which is simply not true, say election officials, as social media mutes his lies and television networks cut away from his statements.
Donald Trump’s claims election is being stolen was an ‘attempted coup’, says niece.
“He is in a unique position, he is the for first time in his life faced with an undeniable loss out of which no one can help him, no one is going to buy him out of it, no one is going to cheat him,” Mary told the British broadcaster.
“His fear of failure is a huge part of it.
“It’s not simply that he’s losing – the Republicans gained seats in the House which means it’s a repudiation of only him and that’s going to make him even angrier.”
As a rattled Trump takes aim at democracy itself, threatening lawsuits against states that do not project him as a winner, will he regret his actions across the last four days?
“No,” Mary said, “there won’t be any regret because that would suggest he can acknowledge he has done something wrong, which he cannot do.”
Mary stressed that as much as Biden seems poised to win the presidency, his election will be no reboot for the country.
“We’re in for a very difficult 76-day period. I have no doubt in my mind there will be legal challenges, which will most likely go nowhere, which will increase his levels of anger,” he said.
“I’m afraid also, that we will probably be seeing people abandoning him, which will also increase his levels of anger. He will continue to do a lot of damage.
“He still has the power of the presidency for the next 76 days and we need to be prepared for anything that he might have in mind,” she said, referring to his Thursday night briefing as an “attempted coup.”
“The consequences of this cannot be underestimated it’s going to take a very long time to repair the damage he’s inflicting upon us right now.”
Marry noted that he is “incapable of doing anything honourably” and that it is “extremely unlikely he will concede.
“If anything he will undermine a Biden-Harris administration,” she said, adding that even Trump’s children may “try to distance themselves from him. But they’re all in on it.”
