Disgraced porn star who urged police to shoot Black protesters blames disturbing racist rants on drug addiction

Billy Santoro

Billy Santoro, a disgraced gay porn performer who called for police to shoot Black protesters, has blamed his abhorrent remarks on drug addiction.

Australian adult film star Billy Santoro had made a stream of incendiary remarks during the Black Lives Matter demonstrations in July, writing in a Facebook post: “Lol. America! Lol you let your blacks loot as a way of protest. Wake the f**k up. Shoot first.”

The Sydney model was swiftly removed from several adult sites as screen grabs circulated of several posts, which appeared to show Santoro claiming “Blacks will just breed more hatred towards them” with rioting.

Paid-content platform JustForFans made clear: “His account is gone. Policing is a slippery slope and we won’t be puppets to cancel culture. This was not debatable though. It was vile. BLM.”

Months later, Santoro has re-emerged, blaming his earlier comments on an addiction to meth.

In a video posted to Twitter on October 4, the porn star said: “I’ve said some things that I totally regret, which I apologise for and by no way mean, while under the influence. I finally woke up one day and hit rock bottom.

“Me and my husband Gage both have an addiction that we’re fighting, and it’s been hard. We have all the tools to recover but it’s been very hard.

“Gage and I made our choice, to choose each other over a drug… we need our friends and fans to rally behind us and help us through this time. I want people to see that this drug does to you.”

Billy Santoro could face eviction for ‘extreme noise’.

However, Billy Santoro is still facing many troubles. The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the porn star couple have adopted a work-from-home approach during the crisis, and could face eviction from his luxury Sydney apartment for allegedly “disturbing the peaceful enjoyment of surrounding lots with extreme noise”.

According to the newspaper, neighbours have complained about frequent visitors to the apartment building, with the troubled tenants accused of “failing to practice social distancing during meet-and-greets organised via social media.”

Authorities have been called to the building on at least three occasions, the newspaper reports.

A police spokesperson said: “I can confirm Surry Hills police attended, however, the incident is not of public interest and would cause no concern for other residents.”
