Perez Hilton breaks down in tears after being banned from TikTok and we can’t find a violin small enough

Perez Hilton

If Perez Hilton cries without a TikTok following, does it make a sound?

The celebrity blogger put the old philosophical conundrum to the test on Saturday when he shared a video of himself sobbing over the fact that he’d been permanently banned from TikTok.

The 42-year-old grown man broke down in tears after being kicked off the teen social media platform for violating rules on slurs and hate speech, nudity and sexual content, and bullying.

“The reason that TikTok gave me for permanently banning my account without any warning is ‘multiple community guidelines violations’,” he said, tears streaking down his face.

“I am feeling numb, and I don’t want to seem overly dramatic, but I feel like my world is crumbling. This feels like a death to me.”

With little sense of perspective as to the thousands of Americans who are facing actual, literal deaths right now, Perez Hilton desperately appealed to 16-year-old TikTok star Charli D’Amelio for help in reinstating his account.

“Please, Charli D’Amelio, please message me back on Instagram. Please. Please help me. I know you don’t owe me that, but I beg of you. I beg of you. I grovel,” he whined.

“They deleted the backup account I had today, I can’t even have a backup account!”

The American dancer is unlikely to look favourably on the situation given that Hilton previously targeted her with criticism for posting a video of herself in a bikini when she was 15.

He was met with a wave of backlash from D’Amelio’s fans, who launched a petition that attracted more than 228,000 signatures to have him banned from TikTok.

The petition didn’t succeed at the time and Perez Hilton happily continued feuding with influencers half his age over on “MessyTok”, as it’s known – content he insists had news value.

“But I have not done anything that’s harassing or bullying, and TikTok is claiming that I am, just by sharing news and sharing my opinion,” he said. Sure Jan.
