Arlo Parks announces Collapsed in Sunbeams tour: how to get tickets, prices and dates
Singer-songwriter and poet Arlo Parks has announced new tour dates in support of her debut album Collapsed in Sunbeams.
Released on 29 January the highly anticipated debut LP features singles “Eugene”, “Black Dog” and “Hope” which fans will get to hear for the first time live.
The openly bisexual singer will perform some of her biggest shows to date in London, Bristol and Manchester this November, including a huge gig at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.
They’re part of the wider album tour which will see her perform at venues across the UK this summer, of course depending on local restrictions due to COVID-19.
The artist’s personal, poetry-like lyrics explore her own relationships including “Green Eyes”, which sees her sing about homophobia that many LGBT+ couples experience: “Of course I know why we lasted two months, could not hold my hand in public, felt their eyes judgin’ our love and beggin’ for blood, I could never blame you darlin”.
While other tracks on the record see her tell stories through other people’s eyes including a loved one’s depression on “Black Dog”, a couple arguing in the street on “Caroline” and loneliness on “Hope”.
Her breakthrough came with the track “Cola” that features on her debut EP Super Sad Generation. It was followed up with performances at Glastonbury and The Great Escape festivals and awards for BBC’s Introducing Artist of the Year and AIM Independent Music Awards’ ‘One to Watch’ for 2020.
Arlo’s upcoming Collapsed in Sunbeams tour is also heading to Edinburgh, Brighton, Birmingham, Nottingham, Liverpool and Oxford in the near future.
Tickets for the three newly announced shows in London, Bristol and Manchester go on sale at 9am on Friday, 5 February via Ticketmaster here. They’re priced from £14 plus fees.
