Comedian Mae Martin is heading out across the UK with a new stand-up tour in 2021.

The tour, entitled “Sap” will visit seven venues across England this October including a date at London’s Leicester Square Theatre.

Mae’s brand new live show will ‘look at the uphill battle of trying to do the right thing in a world that sometimes seems to have lost its moral compass’.

It will be delivered in her signature manic self-reflection as she bounces between vice and virtue and optimism and pessimism, but it won’t be all big questions as she also promises to cover sloths, hot dogs, love and tree sap.

The queer comedian has previously written a book, Can Everyone Please Calm Down? but is perhaps best known for creating and starring in the hit series Feel Good.

Released in early 2020 to critical acclaim, the semi-autobiographical series follows the growing relationship between Mae and George, who is not out to her family and friends.

Upon discovering that Mae is a former drug addict, George encourages Mae to attend a Narcotics Anonymous meeting where she meets fellow recovering addicts, including eccentric Maggie who takes her under her wing.

The series also stars Lisa Kudrow in a hilarious turn as Mae’s mother, as well as Charlotte Ritchie and Sophie Thompson.

It was recently confirmed that the show would be back for a second season airing in late 2021, while the first is now available to stream on All 4 in the UK and Netflix internationally.
