Janet Mock says ‘f**k Hollywood’ in explosive Pose premiere speech: ‘You have stomped on us’

Janet Mock says 'racism, sexism and transphobia' hampered her career

In an explosive rant that reportedly left colleagues and bosses scorched, Pose writer Janet Mock tore into Hollywood for its treatment of trans talent.

Mock, who also served as the director and executive producer of the iconic FX drama, launched into a 15-minute-long speech at the premiere party for Pose season three Thursday night (29 April).

Careening off script, the 38-year-old ignited tinderbox issues of pay, authentic representation in the media and even infidelity. Questioning why the network isn’t paying her more as well as dragging the episodes of the series written by men.

Rattling off her list of grievances, the outspoken bestselling author also alleged that she has slept with someone in the show’s crew and pleaded for her partner Pose actor, Angel Bismark Curiel, not to leave her.

According to multiple reports, including The Daily Beast and Page Six, Mock tersely said: “F**k Hollywood.

“This makes you uncomfortable? It should. It should make you f***ing shake in your motherf***ing boots.

“This is speaking the truth. This is what Pose is.”

“This is what Pose taught me. I stand up taller in the world because of this show.

“I know that I matter because of this show. I have a voice because of this show.”

She later added: “I want to get paid more. Why am I making $40,000 an episode, huh?

“Do you know who the f**k I am?”

Mock then sarcastically said: “It’s a show, but it means so much to everyone to ‘ensure that we enable Black and brown trans women to make it’ because that sounds good.

“It makes you comfortable to talk like that because then I don’t scare you into facing the f***ing truth.

“You all have stomped on us.”

Pose star Angelica Ross sought to praise Mock for the speech, tweeting: “My sister, [Janet Mock], left nothing unsaid.

“I love you girl, thank you for advocating for yourself and for #GirlsLikeUs.”

Janet Mock: ‘I f***ed someone on the Pose crew’

Silence quickly shrouded Jazz at Lincoln Center in Manhattan, New York City, as Janet Mock took aim at the quality of the first two episodes of Pose, which were written solely by men.

“You brought girls in to help you,” she told Pose creator Ryan Murphy, who was in the audience.

“Who brought the girls in?,” she asked. “I did,” Murphy replied, “I wanted the girls to be there.

Training her focus on Curiel, she urged him to “stand up, right now!”

“Let me tell you something about love,” Mock said as Curiel, who portrays Lil Papi Evangelista, stood up. “Today, I was gonna let [Curiel] go.

“I was gonna let you go, right, but what did I do? I f***ed someone on the crew, right?”

“Angel, Angel, I’m not losing you. You hear me?

“You are f****ng important to me. I don’t want to live in a house alone. I want you.

“You motherf***er. Right there. That’s who I want. I’m getting what’s mine.”
