Andy Cohen confronts pathetic troll who accused him of being a bad father

Andy Cohen says there have been 'talks' about a gay Real Housewives

Andy Cohen has shared a bizarre confrontation he had with a troll who sent him a nasty message suggesting he was a bad father.

The television host became a first-time dad in 2019. His son, Benjamin Allen Cohen, was born on 4 February of that year, and the proud father shared adorable snaps with fans on social media.

Sadly, reactions from the public haven’t all been kind. On Thursday (9 September), Andy Cohen shared an interaction he had with a self-confessed troll about his child.

“You should try and be a better person for your son,” the troll wrote in a message to Cohen.

When Cohen replied, asking what he was doing wrong, the person replied: “Oh wow didn’t expect a response. I was just being a troll. You’re doing fine. Sry.”

Cohen went on to have a short conversation with the troll in which he made the very important point that celebrities are people too – and they can see cruel messages when they roll in.

“I am indeed a real person. Thanks for understanding,” Cohen replied.

The troll responded by saying it was “so cool” Cohen had replied, but added: “You probably shouldn’t confront trolls though.”

Cohen’s response? “You probably shouldn’t troll people though.”

Andy Cohen’s followers were shocked by the cruel exchange

Andy Cohen shared screenshots of the upsetting exchange and his followers quickly weighed in to show their solidarity with the embattled host.

The Prom star Andrew Rannells replied: “Good lord,” while reality television star Shep Rose added: “That is patently insane. And not even a little surprising. We are so screwed.”

Real Housewives of Dallas star Stephanie Hollman also took the opportunity to send some kind words to Cohen.

“I love you. You are an amazing person and father. Never listen to the trolls,” she commented.

Fans of Cohen also expressed their shock and dismay at the depressing exchange.

“My gosh! How has ‘trolling’ become a pastime or hobby. Blows my mind,” one wrote.

Another added: “You’re a strong man who is doing the best for his son! I’m proud of you, Andy and love is coming y’all’s way!!!”
