Dad accidentally sends gay porn video of himself to his daughter: ‘It was deeply disturbing’

A woman was shocked, to say the least, after her father sent her a gay porn video of himself having sex with another man.
Taking to Reddit, the woman explained that she came to realise her 59-year-old dad was gay after he accidentally texted her a video of him having sex.
As much as the footage left her dumbfounded and infuriated, saddened that her father “carelessly” texted her the tape, she said that she will always support her father and “whoever he chooses to love”.
Reddit users sought to stress in response to her plea that “accidents happen” and her father most likely had no malicious intent in sending her the video.
“Quick backstory,” she explained on Reddit, according to British newspaper the Daily Star, “my dad (56M) and my mum (59F) were married for 27 years and abruptly divorced four years ago.
“He moved to a different city about 30 minutes away. He has had two roommates who are younger men.
“About three months ago, I (27F) made the discovery that my dad was gay with one of his (22M) younger tenants.
“I made this discovery on accident and I didn’t mention it to my dad, I am pretty sure he knows I know, though.”
The original poster said that she was initially “shocked” to have seen footage of her father having sex with the tenant. “But as long as my dad was happy I love and accept him and whoever he chooses to love,” she continued.
She added that she received the text from her dad while on holiday visiting her in-laws.
“When I sat down to look,” the OP said, “it was a video of his roommate performing oral sex on him. My heart sank and I felt sick to my stomach.
“Obviously, no one wants to see their parent like this and it was deeply disturbing.”
Panicked and breathless, the OP said she reached out to her younger brother, who is 26, for advice. “He said not to respond to the text so, I didn’t,” she wrote.
“About 40 minutes later I received a text from my dad saying: ‘Oh no, forget you saw that.’
“I told him I already deleted it and I love him and I already knew he was in a relationship with his roommate.
“He brushed it off, apologised and asked me how my day was going.”

But the experience left her ruffled, she explained, and now she is unsure what next steps – if any – to take without it being, well, a little awkward between the two.
With her husband believing that sending the gay porn clip was deliberate, the OP said she is incensed with her dad for being so absent-minded.
“I just am just unsure where to go from here,” the user said.
“I am not sure if I can ever have the same relationship with my dad and I’m worried things will be very uncomfortable between us going forward.
“My husband thinks he did it on purpose, which I do not believe was the case.
“My brother thinks it was extremely bizarre and was an accident. I am just very angry, I don’t want to be but, I am.
“I don’t understand how he could be so careless to send a message like that.”
Like pretty much anyone in this situation, she asked Reddit for advice – and it turns out what happened to her is not exactly uncommon, with users underscoring it was likely an accident.
“Has anyone ever had a weird situation like this happen to them?” she quizzed. “How should I proceed going forward to maintain my relationship with my dad whom I love very much?”
“One time I accidentally sent my older lesbian roommate a very very explicit text that was meant for my girlfriend,” a Reddit user replied. “Accidents happen. It sucks that it did, but it really does sound like this was a mistake.”
“I’ve accidentally sent wrong texts as well,” another added. “Nothing to that extent but, I can understand how it can happen.”
A third said: “I accidentally sent my mother in law risky pics of me when I was trying to send them to my husband.
“It was embarrassing but she was a good sport and deleted them. Accidents happen.”
