All Stars 7 queens gooped and gagged after mystery ninth Drag Race star enters the werkroom

A drag queen appears on Drag Race All Stars 7 wearing a black and white outfit with a giant hat

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season seven is off to a bang after Mama Ru trolled everyone with a surprise, mysterious queen who stole the show.

Needless to say: There are spoilers for All Stars 7 episode one ahead so be warned!

Fans weren’t even 30 minutes into the first episode of the first-ever all-winners season when they were treated to a jaw-dropping surprise. Shea Couleé, Jaida Essence Hall, Yvie Oddly, Trinity the Tuck, Monét x Change, Jinkx Monsoon, Raja and The Vivienne had all entered the werkroom and were showing off their gag-worthy outfits to each other.

But then, a ninth queen in a gorgeous, sparkly black and white striped ensemble walked through the door, joining the already announced cast. The queens were absolutely flabbergasted by the newcomer who had a wide-brimmed hat hiding her face.

“Who is under this big ol’ hat?” Monet asked.

Jinkx jokingly whispered: “It’s Sia.”

Honestly, fans on Twitter used their expert sleuthing skills to figure out the identity of the secret contestant, and the official Drag Race Twitter account called for fans to give their ‘wrong answers’ when guessing who was under the hat.

There were truly endless possibilities as fans threw their joke or real theories that the queen could be Drag Race mainstay Jujubee, guest judge Cameron Diaz and even fashion designer Santino Rice.

Even Jujubee and Bianca Del Rio decided to join in the fun, teasing they were the queen under the hat.

It wasn’t long before the All Stars 7 queens got a final answer though as the mysterious queen turned out to be none other than Raven, who has never actually won a series. Raven placed second in both Drag Race season two and All Stars season one.

“Losing is the new winning,” Raven quipped as she took off the hat, revealing her identity.

Rightly so, the queens were stunned to see Raven in the werkroom and lost their collective minds. Raven acknowledged in her interview off-camera that many might not think that she belonged on the show, but she does “identify as a winner”.

“This is gagging,” Monet said.

Then, the nine queen cast gathered around after RuPaul strutted into the room in a kaleidoscopic watercolour outfit. RuPaul greeted all the queens before looking stunned herself that Raven was in the group.

“Wait a minute,” RuPaul said, “Raven, what are you doing here?”

“I’m here just like the rest of them: to get a crown,” Raven quipped.

RuPaul, very much channelling some teacher vibes, called Raven up to the front and told her once again to sashay away as this is an all winners season. Before she walked out, Raven asked Ru to walk her to her car, and there was even a staged fight with Mama Ru slapping Raven.

But Ru revealed she is still the queen of twists after she disclosed that Raven’s appearance was just a giant troll to both the All Stars 7 queens and the audience. So the Emmy-winning makeup artist just left the room, and all the queens admitted they were thoroughly fooled by Ru’s bit.

“And don’t let the foundation hit you on the way out, b***h,” Monet screamed out, summing up all our feelings at that moment.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 7 airs Fridays on Paramount Plus with episodes dropping on WOW Presents Plus later.
