Love Island’s Megan Barton-Hanson says men come out to her as bisexual through her OnlyFans

Megan Barton-Hanson, who starred on the fourth series of Love Island in 2018, has revealed that men message her on OnlyFans to come out as bisexual.
Writing for the Metro, Barton-Hanson revealed that, alongside her opinion that “bisexual people need to be more visible”, she has found her OnlyFans – which reportedly makes her more than £800,000 a month – a “great way to connect”.
“My OnlyFans has been a great way for me to connect with people and to start conversations about sexuality. In fact, I’ve been inundated with messages from men who identify as straight, telling me they want to explore their sexuality without women thinking they’re just gay.
“I always tell them that they shouldn’t need to feel this pressure to label themselves or conform to stereotypes. Open up to close friends or family about your desires to explore and they should be able to support you.”

Speaking to men who might want to explore their sexuality, she also warns them of bigoted responses and how to deal with them.
“If they open up to a woman about exploring their sexuality but they have a problem with it, run for the hills! It’s a massive red flag and it speaks more about her insecurities than anything else.”
“I’m so lucky that I have this platform and can be this kind of agony aunt to people who are questioning their sexuality because I didn’t know where to turn when I was still figuring myself out.”
Megan placed fourth on the 2018 series of Love Island alongside then-boyfriend Wes Nelson. Since then, she discovered her bisexuality through being attracted to her friend.

Speaking to the MailOnline, she explained in 2021: “I had a friend who I would spend all my time with and then when she had a boyfriend, I would get weirdly jealous.”
In the same interview, she also shared how she was invited to a female photographer’s house whilst the latter’s boyfriend was present. The photoshoot then apparently turned into a threesome, something which Barton-Hanson says not online happened a “few times”, but that also helped her confirm her bisexuality:
“She was a photographer, and she invited me over to take my picture and her boyfriend was there.
“We had a ‘joint thing’ a few times, but I realised he was just ‘there’, and I was actually falling for her.
“That was pretty hard because they had an open relationship, but I was starting to fall in love with her.”

Megan Barton-Hanson also revealed in her column that while she was initially approached by Love Island producers for season three, she was unsuccessful, hinting that it’s because she let slip that she was seeing a male/female couple in an open relationship:
“I let slip that I was seeing a couple (male and female) at the time and they had an open relationship. I told them that I fancied them both but that I was falling in love with the girl a little bit.
“I said I was more into girls at the time, but that I was still open to men. After this discussion, I didn’t hear anything back from the producers.”
“The year after, Love Island producers approached me again for series four, but I didn’t mention the fancying girls thing. I got on the show straight away.”
Megan has recently commented on the need for a ‘LGBTQ+ Love Island’, and urged producers to “Speed this s**t up!”
She has said she would “definitely” sign up, should the series go ahead.
