Drag Race UK’s Pixie Polite had five-year relationship with Tia Kofi: ‘We broke up a year ago’

Drag Race UK queen Pixie Polite opened up about her relationship with season two icon Tia Kofi in this week’s episode.

Pixie Polite shared with her fellow queens that she and Tia dated for five years, but broke up due to “mistakes she [Pixie] made.”

In her confessional chair, Pixie said: “Me and Tia Kofi from season two, we used to be in a relationship. We were together for about five years. And because of mistakes that I made, we are no longer together.”

“And there’s a lot I’ve still not processed from it.”

Speaking to Danny Beard in the werk room, she continued; “Being away from Tia… we broke up about a year ago … We went from living together, working together, having the same friends.

“To go from that from being apart was really difficult. I’ve had some like really dark times this year.”

Pixie said that the two are still very close, and that Tia is her biggest “cheerleader” at home.

Episode three saw the queens split into pairs to design bingo-hall inspired lewks for the season’s first design challenge.

Brighton-based Pixie – who has so far managed to shake the Brighton curse that sent Anubis Finch and Joe Black home first in seasons two and – was partnered with Drag Race UK’s first bearded queen, Danny Beard.

After receiving the purple box – not a euphemism – the pair played it safe with simple dresses that “embodied your drunk aunt, who was asked to model for the local shopping centre”.

Baby and Dakota Schiffer were named winners, with Black Peppa and Copper Topp lip-syncing to a poorly-timed Ella Henderson song.

Overall, the episode was praised by viewers. And It seems like Tia – who performs alongside Pixie and Woe Addams in their girl group The Vixens – approves as well.

Drag Race UK airs on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer Thursdays at 9pm.
