Paramore have announced a headline UK and Ireland tour – and tickets go on sale soon.

The group will head to arenas in April 2023 in support of their upcoming sixth album, This Is Why.

Fans can get their hands on tickets from 10am on 28 October via Ticketmaster and See Tickets.

The tour will kick off on 13 April in Dublin and head to Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester, London and finish up in Birmingham.

It’ll be in support of their first album in six years, which is due for release on 10 February.

The LP features the title track and lead single, with Hayley Williams saying on her Everything Is Emo podcast: “From day one, Bloc Party was the number one reference because there was such an urgency to their sound that was different to the fast punk or the pop punk or the like, loud wall of sound emo bands that were happening in the early 2000s.”

The band have also confirmed that they’ll be supported by Bloc Party on the upcoming UK and Ireland tour.

This month they headlined We Are Young Festival, which featured a huge pop-punk lineup including Avril Lavigne, My Chemical Romance, Jimmy Eat World and Bring Me The Horizon.

Ahead of their set, lead singer Williams posted a heartfelt letter to fans saying the post-punk scene has “come a long way”.

“F**k the ones who doubted! Hugs to the ones who watched on and even sort of believed. Young girls, queer kids, and anybody of any color… We have shifted this scene together, messily, angrily, heartbroken, and determined,” she added.

The Instagram story read: “Tonight, for me at least, is about celebrating all the facets of what punk music actually represents. All the things it wasn’t allowed to be when we were young.”

When do Paramore tickets go on sale?

They go on general sale at 10am on 28 October via Ticketmaster and See Tickets.

A presale takes place on 26 October at 10am for fans who’ve pre-ordered their album, This Is Why from the band’s official store. If you pre-order by 2pm on 25 October, you’ll receive access to priority tickets and fans who have already pre-order will automatically receive access.

Tickets are priced from £46.50, including booking fees.
