Cher opens up about ‘strange’ new relationship with younger boyfriend

Cher – pop icon, film legend, Twitter star – has further opened up about her new relationship, admitting that it looks “strange” on paper.

The 76-year-old previously revealed that she was dating Alexander Edwards, a 36-year-old record label executive for Def Jam.

The star posted a pic of Edwards in his underwear to Twitter, captioning the post:

“A.E.Hanging Ot” – Alexander Edwards hanging out.

Predictably, other Twitter users began bombarding the singer with questions over her relationship, to which she simply replied: “We’re Grown ups”.

Cher also gave some relationship advice to another fan, as well as detailing the many things she loves about her new boo, in classic Cher capitals:

“DON’T GIVE MEN QUALITIES THEY DON’T POSSESS. ITS A RECIPE 4 DISASTER.”

She continued, saying that she loves Edwards because: “HE WASN’T AFRAID. HE’S KIND, HILARIOUS, SMART, TALENTED, BEAUTIFUL. WE TALK & LAUGH. WE R PERFECTLY MATCHED. DO I WISH I WAS YOUNGER, YAH, I’M NOT BOO FKN HOO.”

She also revealed the two “[kiss] like teenagers” and that Edwards is “Kind, Smart, Hilarious”.

She also replied to a meme of a woman wearing a t-shirt reading “old bitches winning”, with a simple: “We’re Happy”.

In a completely separate tweet, she addressed how strange the difference may look, and admitted she could understand that point of view:

“On paper This Looks strange (Even 2 Me)” she wrote.

“[Alexander] says [love] Doesn’t Know Math.”

She has been met with a wave of support from fans:

“Wtg Cher!! You live your life the best way you want!! If he makes you happy then keep doing you!!” one wrote.

Another said: “Ok then Cher. You betta let em know!!”

A third added: “If your happy with AE, I mean truly happy, then who cares?? One person’s happiness doesn’t depend on what others think or say”.

To which Cher replied: “BABE, SOME MARCH 2 A DIFFERENT DRUMMER, I Dance 2 One”.
