ITV has unveiled the celeb lineup for the new reality game show Celebrity Sabotage, which will star lesbian star and podcaster GK Barry.

The Masked Singer’s Joel Dommett will host the prank-style show, which will see four celebs team up to sabotage unsuspecting contestants and hopefully guide them to win a secret cash prize.

Celebrity Sabotage will replace Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, which is taking a break.

GK Barry and Joel Dommett will be joined by comedian Judi Love and Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson.

This marks another prominent appearance from GK Barry, who has broken into mainstream TV as she became the youngest regular panellist on Loose Women and went on to appear in 2024’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, where she struck a friendship with Reverend Richard Coles.

Last year, she also revealed that she was dating pro footballer Ella Rutherford. Much of her social media content includes cooking for her girlfriend, as GK Barry jokes that she’s a “WAG”.

Celebrity Sabotage will see the celebrity quartet complete a series of stunts to win a secret cash prize for the participants. Every successful sabotage mission will add more money to the prize pot.

However, every week, the celebrity saboteurs are joined by a different guest saboteur.

Former footballer Jill ScottSuspects star Fay Ripley, The Only Way Is Essex’s Olivia Attwood, comedian Jo Brand, Man Like Mobeen’s Guz Khan and former England football manager Harry Redknapp have been named as the guest saboteurs set to appear and bring the mischief and mayhem.

In each episode, a group of unsuspecting contestants appear, believing they are participating in a brand-new ITV show. They will face a series of challenges, including cooking tasks, relationship tests, and murder mystery games.

“It’s honestly the most I’ve laughed in ages”

To make the fake show believable, a range of hosts will appear, including broadcaster Clare Balding, host couple Matt and Emma Willis, chef Monica Galetti, former Royal Marine Jason Fox, entrepreneur Sara Davies and TV personality Rylan Clark.

However, these challengers are completely made up and everyone is in on the secret, the celebrity saboteurs watching the contestants from their high-tech mission HQ.

Each episode will end with the secret prize pot being revealed to the contestants and shared equally among them all.

Speaking about the upcoming show, Dommett said: “This show is absolute madness. Turns out making a new fake reality TV show every week and secretly sabotaging the real contestants to win them money is really fun!

“It’s honestly the most I’ve laughed in ages. Such a lovely bunch of fellow saboteurs too – Sam, GK, Judi and me made some mischief that needs to be seen to be believed.”

Katie Rawcliffe, Director of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning ITV said: “Celebrity Sabotage is a unique combination of hidden camera, reality and gameshow, delivering big laughs with a fantastic celebrity cast.

“We are delighted to bring this exciting new format to the ITV audience.”

Richard Cowles, Managing Director of Lifted Entertainment, said: “Whether it be hidden camera, reality or game shows, at Lifted Entertainment we specialise in creating formats that have broad appeal.

Celebrity Sabotage incorporates all of those disciplines in a prime time show that sees celebrities duping members of the public. There are loads of laughs and the celebrities’ sabotage is all for a good cause – to win them loads of cash.”

Celebrity Sabotage is set to air on ITV1 and ITVX later this year.
