Queer Eye, Netflix’s longest-running unscripted TV series, is ending with season 10 – here’s how the show’s cast has reacted.
In a post on social media yesterday (9 July), Netflix confirmed that Queer Eye would have “one last go ‘round”, and that the final season is in production.
It’s devastating news for fans of the long-running series, which sees five queer experts give life makeovers to people from different walks of life.
Since 2018, Queer Eye has been led by grooming expert Jonathan Van Ness, culinary pro Antoni Porowski, culture king Karamo Brown, and styling guru Tan France. Since season nine, Jeremiah Brent has starred as the show’s interiors expert, having replaced Bobby Berk.
Following news of the show’s end, France offered the lengthiest response, referring to his seven years on the show as “long, beautiful”.
“First day of the FINAL season of Queer Eye. It’s been a long, beautiful journey we’ve been on, and I truly appreciate all of the love and support for our little show, that changed my life in ways I never thought possible,” he wrote on Instagram.
“As we begin our farewell season here on D.C I simply want to say thank you! Thank you!!!!!”

Also writing on Instagram, Van Ness shared: “Season 10, the final season. We are so excited to bring this finale to you, and excited for what’s next,” alongside a heart emoji.
In Porowski’s short and sweet response, he wrote: “Let’s make our last one count.”
Brent simply shared the announcement on his Instagram Stories, while Brown, who does not use Instagram (other than on his Karama Show account) does not appear to have reacted to the announcement.
The end of Queer Eye comes amid a rocky few years for the feel-good Netflix hit, following Berk’s departure and reports of rifts between the Fab Five.
While Berk and France have admitted to tension between them, the rest of the cast have maintained that they are as close off camera as they are on it.
Berk departed the show back in 2023 after deciding not to renew his contract. He said he did so believing that none of the cast members would be renewing their contracts either, yet all bar him did. At the time, France claimed that Berk was “fired” from the series.

Earlier this year, Jeremiah Brent spoke to PinkNews about feeling “terrified” of stepping into Berk’s shoes.
“I was absolutely terrified, which has always been the driving force for me, usually around decisions I kind of run into that because I’m really good at failing,” he said.
“So I’m like whatever, what’s going to happen? I can bounce back from anything. I was closeted for 20 years – I can do anything.
“I was really nervous about it because that show is important culturally. It’s important with the work it does, with the people that it meets and interacts with. Obviously this show has been on for quite a few seasons before I came on, and I really wanted to do a good job,” he added.
Netflix has not yet released an air date for Queer Eye season 10. Other series of Queer Eye are streaming on the platform now.
