Pedro Pascal kissed Stephen Colbert on The Late Show (CBS)
Pedro Pascal has got the internet all in a tizzy after kissing The Late Show host Stephen Colbert.
The Last of Us actor appeared on 12 May’s episode of the talk show and asked for a kiss after Colbert smooched Jimmy Fallon in a recent episode during a game.
Pascal pointed to his lips before Colbert leaned in and met him. “I got jealous,” the actor told the host.
The clip quickly went viral on social media, with some celebrating men showing affection, while some wondered if things were going too far.
One said on Instagram: “Ooof! I love how it is becoming more and more common in general culture to see affection between men. Such a basic baseline. This. Isn’t. Weird.”
Another joked: “‘I got jealous’ … I’m jealous!” Someone else said: “I love this so much. Gosh, if Pedro looked at me like that I would die. He’s so cute.”
A fourth wrote: “Colbert is having so much fun kissing the fine men on this show. First it was Andrew Garfield now Daddy Pedro.”
Meanwhile, some took issue with the kiss. “Lol ewww… Stephen being married,” wrote one person on X. Another asked: “Isn’t Stephen married?”
Pedro Pascal’s upcoming gay role
Pedro Pascal has recently been working on the gay romance movie De Noche.
Production started in March this year, and in early April Pascal was seen on-set filming in Mexico City.
He is set to play a detective opposite Danny Ramirez as a boarding school teacher.
Written by Todd Haynes and Jon Raymond, the plot will see the characters have an unexpected love affair, as they’re targeted by the corrupt political machine of Los Angeles. They’re then forced to flee to Mexico.
